About the role:

Getlabs is looking for a battle-tested, highly ambitious, and world-class Vice President of Health Plans/Systems who is passionate about transforming the way healthcare is delivered and will stop at nothing to achieve our mission to lead our commercial efforts through our next phase of growth. 


This role will take the lead in sourcing leads, selling, and maintaining new partnerships with health plans and systems as we build on the success of our 2024 growth rate of 300%. As the VP of Health Plans/Systems you will be responsible for all sales, pre-sales, and go-to-market strategy across Getlabs. This leadership role will be player/coach in nature - balancing strategic thinking with hands-on ownership, execution, and leadership across deals.


The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Experience selling a clinical or care based solution into health systems or health plans
  • Ability to navigate and negotiate value based care arrangements and contracts
  • Experience building sales and go-to-market strategies from the ground up for new and existing services selling into large-scale healthcare customers. 
  • A passion for selling and willingness to work side by side with a team to grow Getlabs through our partnerships with health systems and plans.
  • The potential to help grow, train, and manage a national sales team, including developing sales strategies and staffing plans, helping drive product development and prioritization, tracking and driving sales team performance, and updating key stakeholders on revenue growth
  • A track record of successfully contributing to a full stack commercial organization including the ability to assist with sales operations duties and reasonable and thorough revenue projections for annual budgets and multi-year projections, as well as provide input/guidance with contract negotiations
  • The experience and willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and work side by side with other team members end-to-end through the sales cycle, from finding and initiating conversations with new prospective partners, discovering needs, participating in RFPs, negotiating contracts, securing new deals, and nurturing relationships
  • You bring to the table a successful background in healthcare enterprise and B2B customer sales with a proven track record for meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • You’re a hands-on sales professional with leadership potential who runs to challenges, uses creative thinking, problem-solving, analytics, and innovation to reach the company’s sales goals
  • You have the ability to analyze data and communicate insights effectively to leadership teams


At Getlabs, you will:

  • Build and execute a sales strategy to enter new verticals - including health systems, health plans, payors, and value based care. This will include the hiring, onboarding, and training of dedicated sales team members
  • Work side by side and share your expertise to up-level existing team members to continue to drive against established verticals - telehealth, diagnostic laboratories, and genetics - as well as drive customer renewal strategy
  • Lead by example, working side by side with your team to sell, nurture leads, and close deals independently
  • Lead and develop Getlabs’ channel partnership strategy including with its large strategic investors
  • Collaborate with Product/Engineering, Operations, and Finance / Analytics teams to help define Getlabs’ product roadmap to expand its product and service offerings
  • Build a best-in-class sales operations function - including defining sales targets, quota and compensation strategies, and board/executive level reporting
  • Develop and execute revenue growth and GTM strategies that align with Getlabs’ goals and objectives
  • Responsible for defining and delivering against sales targets on quarterly and annual basis
  • Acting as a “player-coach” and working side-by-side with sales team members and independently to bring in new strategic partnerships
  • Provide mentorship to Sales team members to ensure they are achieving their full potential
  • Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to identify new business opportunities
  • Cultivate existing and new relationships leading to revenue retention and growth
  • Drive creation of marketing strategies and sales collateral and oversee performance
  • Attend healthcare industry conferences and represent Getlabs as a speaker as opportunities arise


What we are looking for

  • 10+ years of experience in Sales, with at least five years in a leadership role in the B2B healthcare space at an early stage start-up or similar fast paced environment
  • Ability to operate independently and help build Getalbs’ sales strategy from the ground up 
  • Goal-oriented approach: proven track record of driving revenue growth and exceeding sales targets
  • Enthusiasm for “rolling up your sleeves” and forging new strategic partnerships as a “player-coach”: Our executives are “hands on,” and no task is beneath anyone when it comes to our mission 
  • Passion for helping teams mature: experience training, building, and managing Sales and SalesOps team members
  • Strategic thinking: background in developing growth strategies with the executive team and board of directors
  • Strong interpersonal skills: excellent communication with ability to build strong relationships with customers and partners as well as internally and cross-functionally
  • Leadership: oversee, lead and motivate the sales team inclusive of; sales managers, account executives and sales support
  • Strategic thinker: match partner needs to solutions
